Bio: Technicion 1st Class Owen Drake thought his appointment into Crey's R&D division was a dream come true. Unfortunately, when a 'containment breach' left him exposed to a virulent strain of nano-machines, his dream job quickly turned into a nightmare. If the 13 hours of torment he endured as the microscopic machines re-formatted his body, transforming him into a bio-mechanical being wasn't bad enough... he was left a technological Typhoid Mary, a carrier who had to be denied physical human contact, lest he risk infecting more. 

Eventually, a solution was found in the form of a prototype EVO-combat chasis, a powered containment suit designed to function in extreme hostile environments.  But even with this gift, he was still little more a prisoner.  Eventually he was 'graciously' given the opportunity to put this gift to use as Part of the 'Paragon Protectors'.

In the month he spent in the field with the protectors, he witnessed first hand the true face of Crey, and it was when he discovered the true circumstances of his 'accident' that he took his 'leave'... taking the suit with him. Now he functions as his own man, fighting injustice wherever he finds it, not just where Crey tells him.

The armor: Took a LOT of fiddling in the costume creator to get a look that jived with the Source Material, when I DID, I was a might disgusted most of the parts weren't for free.  Eventually had to make my first parts buy to take him on after my subscription ran out.

Lvl 20: all I did was have him without his helmet off.  Yeah, not real bright considering the bio.  Had to do sumthin with it.

Yet another multi-purpoused OC to turn up in CoH, he popped up in Multiple Incarnations before finding his place in Paragon.  I mostly went by his first heroic roll origin, TF RPG where he hails from a hellish Shockwave-controlled future where most of the human population was enslaved using a nanite-plague, and adapted it to fit here.

As much as I liked the character, his play-value wasn't that great.  He got his ass kicked often.  It befuddled me how Geiger girl could throw-down, but for some reason Unit-0 didn't pack the same punch.  Course GG would irradiate everyone before throwing a punch.
